St. Anthony is committed to treating and educating victims of stroke. It’s important to identify as early as possible when a person is having a stroke.
If you think someone is having a stroke, as them to do these three things
- Ask the person to smile
- Ask him or her to raise both arms
- Ask the person to speak a simple sentence
If they have trouble with any of these three tasks, call 911 immediately and request emergency medical assistance.
St. Anthony proudly brings “Stroke of Courage” to Oklahoma City each year. During this annual event, stroke survivors and their family members gather for educational seminars, entertainment and good food.
