More than 157,000 babies have been born at St. Anthony since we first opened our doors over 100 years ago, but we still celebrate each birth as if it is the first.  In fact, when your baby is born we'll play Brahms' Lullaby throughout the hospital to announce the arrival of your precious little one.

Being admitted has never been easier.
You can enter Joyful Beginnings directly (at the circle drive) and be seen immediately by a labor and delivery nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week. She will assess your condition, call your physician and take care of all the paperwork. If you are in the early stages of labor, you may be admitted to our outpatient monitoring area where our staff can monitor your progress and keep your physician updated.

Once admitted, you'll relax in our newly renovated, spacious birthing suites with private bath/showers.  And our enclosed unit means added security and comfort for you and your new baby, as well as your family and visitors.  We invite you to view a photo gallery of our accommodations.

Joyful Beginnings patients and guests have full access to our concierge staff and enjoy other amenities including Saints Link, our complimentary wireless internet, and room service.

Family bonding is encouraged.
Dads and siblings can be in the room during labor and delivery, and your newborn baby will be bathed, weighed and measured in your room. We also provide a rollaway bed in every room so dad can stay all night. If your newborn requires an extra few days in the hospital, you can “room in” at no charge (if we have rooms available).

Find peace of mind with our experienced staff.
Joyful Beginnings is staffed by registered nurses cross-trained to care for both you and your baby. Anesthesia is available 24 hours a day, and more often than not, a physician is on the unit ready to handle unexpected needs. Our nursery is equipped to handle all types of emergency situations, and you’ll rest easy knowing that we’re well-equipped for Caesarean deliveries.

Visit our web nursery.
After your baby is born, we’ll take his picture and post it on our web nursery where friends and family will be able to leave a congratulatory message. You can also order your baby’s first photo right through our website! Click here to visit the St. Anthony Web Nursery.
