On July 11, 2013, we received an official letter from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) that our residency program was accredited for five years (through the end of the 2018 academic year), the maximum number of years granted by the ACGME. The ACGME is the accrediting organization for all allopathic residencies in the United States, and we are honored and excited to receive such a strong affirmation of our training program.
We are equally proud of the letter we received August 15, 2014, from the American Osteopathic Association informing us that we have been accredited for another five years. As a dually-accredited program, we strive to provide the highest quality education for all of our residents. It is gratifying to know that the institutions that oversee our training program have been impressed with the highest standards met by our hospital leadership, faculty, and residents and have granted us the maximum accreditation allowed.
