Physical Therapy

Rehabilitation services at St. Anthony North range from comprehensive physical therapy and aquatic therapy to hand therapy services and lymphedema management. Our therapists have experience in all levels of diagnosis and treatment. We’ll work with you to evaluate your injury, plan your individualized treatment program, and educate you with exercises and resource materials so you can prevent your injury from happening again. Services are conveniently located at St. Anthony North at NW 63rd and Broadway Extension.

Our state-of-the-art equipment and training will help get you moving on your path to recovery. Using our Swimmex therapy pool with water at a comfortable 96 degrees, you can work on exercises for the joints utilizing the principle of buoyancy. We even have a complete weight room available for rehabilitation and strength exercise.

Pre-habilitation physical therapy (pre-hab) is available to those who will be having surgery for total knee or hip replacement, ACL, rotator cuff, and other musculoskeletal injuries. Pre-hab can improve functional ability, increase strength prior to surgery and may contribute to post-op recovery.

Our hand therapy program can work you through recovering from hand injuries or surgery, or strengthening your muscles and joints to bring you some relief from arthritis. Our therapists will work with you individually on a personalized program to help you recover the greatest amount of hand strength and function possible.
Lymphedema management can help you control edema and learn to manage it.  The certified lymphedema therapist uses complete decongestive therapy (CDT), a technique recognized by the National Institutes of Health as effective for the treatment of lymphedema.  The treatment involves gentle massage followed by multilayered compression bandaging.

St. Anthony North accepts most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid.  If you’re an employer, we work with your employees on workers compensation.

A physician referral is necessary to receive treatment.
