The Margaret Vessels Love Surgery Center has 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms. Ranging in size from 675 to 900 square feet, St. Anthony has some of the largest and most advanced rooms in the city. Each room is equipped with XM Radio so our surgeons and staff can hear their favorite tunes. Each room also contains brand new cameras and at least one 48 inch flat screen monitor so our surgeons can better visualize while they are performing surgery. With boom mounted equipment, the operating rooms stay clutter free which makes it easier for the physicians and staff to navigate around the room.

Our surgery center also has specific rooms dedicated solely to procedures like open heart surgery, urology procedures and neurosurgery cases.

Open Heart Operating Rooms
These two rooms are designed specifically for patients undergoing open heart surgery. With state-of-the-art lights, camera and computer equipment, the surgeon has everything he or she needs to perform one of the most advanced procedures.

Urology Operating Rooms
Urology procedures require real-time x-rays to occur while the surgeon is operating. To accomplish this, a special table is needed, so St. Anthony purchased two brand-new GE Cysto-tables, priced at $390,000 each. Now, these two surgery suites provide the newest and most advanced technology for urology procedures.

Neurosurgery Operating Room
Because of the large amount of equipment needed for these complex cases, this surgery suite is larger with more equipment and imaging capabilities than your standard O.R. This room has 864 square feet of space, making it one of St. Anthony’s largest operating rooms.

Endovascular Suite
Known as the Operating Room of the Future, this O.R. combines the technology of a minimally invasive cath lab and an open heart operating room in one. With the completion of this room in 2007, advanced vascular procedures can be
performed here.
